The Irish low-cost carrier, Ryanair, has reported robust operational growth for February, solidifying its position as Europe’s leading airline by passenger volume.
February Operational Results: 6% Growth
During the month of February, Ryanair transported a total of 13.3 million passengers, representing a 6% increase compared to the same period last year. This operational performance was supported by a resilient service network that achieved the following key metrics:
- Flights operated: Over 75,000 sectors completed during the month.
- Load factor: Maintained at a steady 92%.

Annual Performance and Fiscal Year-End Projections
On a rolling annual basis, the airline recorded a total traffic volume of 207.6 million users, a 4% increase over the previous fiscal period. Within this framework, the annual load factor stood at a solid 94%.
As a result of these figures, the company has outperformed its guidance for the end of the current fiscal year, which concludes on March 31.
Key Drivers of Operational Momentum
The success reflected in these reported figures is attributed not only to a sustained rebound in demand but also to the operational capacity of the carrier’s fleet.
A significant milestone in February was the delivery of the final four Boeing 737-8200 “Gamechanger” units, successfully completing a strategic order of 210 aircraft designed to bolster its low-cost network.
By focusing its strategy on efficiency and fleet expansion, Ryanair approaches the close of its fiscal year having exceeded its own traffic objectives. The integration of new aircraft and consistently high load factors position the company favorably to maintain its market dominance in Europe during the upcoming period.
