Low-cost carrier Wingo has sealed a strategic alliance with Old Parr (a Diageo Colombia brand) to operate eight special flights between Bogotá and Valledupar. This initiative seeks to connect travelers with the Vallenato Legend Festival, offering a themed onboard experience that brings the cultural festivities directly into the aircraft cabin.

A Themed Experience at 30,000 Feet
The alliance between Wingo and Old Parr is not limited solely to passenger transport; it aims to transform the journey into the start of the celebration.
Onboard Experience Flights scheduled for April 29 and 30 from the capital to Valledupar will feature an exclusive themed experience. Simón Maya, Director of Marketing and Passenger Experience at Wingo, emphasized that the airline seeks to be the “driver and accomplice” for those traveling to experience this Vallenato tradition.
Destinations Activations For his part, Eric Strauss, Marketing Director of Diageo Colombia, confirmed that the scotch whiskey brand’s presence will extend beyond the aircraft:
- Valledupar Activations: Experiences specifically designed for festival attendees will be carried out.
- KZ Old Parr: A dedicated space within the festival to celebrate local music and culture.
Operational Recommendations and Availability
Due to the nature of the event, a significant increase in seat demand toward Alfonso López Pumarejo Airport (VUP) in Valledupar is expected.
The airline recommends that interested users purchase their tickets as far in advance as possible through official channels, such as its web portal and mobile app. This special operation reinforces the company’s commitment to connecting Colombians with the fairs and festivals that define the country’s identity.
