Aer Lingus commenced operations this Monday between Dublin Airport and Raleigh-Durham International Airport, establishing a strategic connection linking the state of North Carolina with Ireland and the rest of Europe.

Transatlantic Connectivity and the “Research Triangle”

The new direct service bolsters connectivity with North Carolina’s Research Triangle, an innovation hub encompassing the cities of Raleigh, Durham, and Chapel Hill. This region is home to Research Triangle Park, one of the largest research parks in the world and headquarters to hundreds of technology and biotechnology companies.

Furthermore, the area is renowned for its prestigious academic institutions, including North Carolina State University (Raleigh), Duke University (Durham), and the University of North Carolina (UNC) at Chapel Hill.
