This expansion aims to strengthen connectivity between North America and a network of over 80 destinations across the Americas and Europe.
Consolidating the Strategic North American Network

Detailed Breakdown of New Operations
The expansion plan focuses on three fundamental pillars that optimize connectivity from Colombia’s main hubs:
- Bogota – Fort Lauderdale: The route will add one additional daily frequency, reaching a total of two daily flights.
- Barranquilla – Miami: This connection will see significant growth, shifting from three weekly frequencies to a daily operation (seven flights per week).
- Medellin – Orlando: Previously operated under different scheduling schemes, this is now established as a permanent route with a daily frequency.
Global Reach and Connectivity
Currently, Avianca maintains a robust presence in U.S. territory, operating in high-profile markets such as New York, Los Angeles, Boston, Chicago, Houston, Dallas-Fort Worth, and San Francisco. Additionally, the carrier maintains seasonal operations to leisure destinations such as Las Vegas.
Avianca continues to analyze new alternatives to further strengthen its route network and enhance connectivity in these high-demand strategic markets.
