The National Civil Aviation Administration (ANAC) has formally approved the flight schedule submitted by El Al Israel Airlines to launch direct operations between Tel Aviv and Buenos Aires. This announcement represents a historic milestone in aerial connectivity, as it will link both cities non-stop for the first time.
The implementation of this service will significantly reduce travel times, establishing a more agile and efficient alternative for passenger flow between the Middle East and South America.
Operational Details and Fleet
The Israeli flag carrier has structured a scheduled operation aimed at optimizing transatlantic connectivity under the following technical parameters:
- Frequency: The route will feature two weekly flights between Tel Aviv and Ezeiza International Airport.
- Aircraft: The service will be operated using Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner aircraft, configured with a capacity of 271 seats.
- Inaugural Flight: Operations are scheduled to commence on November 29, 2026, departing from Tel Aviv.

“Open Skies” Agreement Framework
The launch of this direct connection is a direct result of President Javier Milei’s recent official visit to Israel. During that meeting, the commitment to strengthen bilateral ties was ratified through the signing of an Open Skies agreement between the two nations.
This regulatory framework has allowed for the expansion and modernization of the commercial aviation system, removing barriers for new operators and facilitating the necessary conditions to make this historic service viable. The initiative aligns with the “Open Skies” policy promoted by the National Government, which aims to foster competition and provide users with more flight options.
