Emirates has taken a significant step in its operational recovery by restoring 96% of its global network following a period of disruption. With the progressive resumption of services in key markets, the airline reaffirms Dubai’s position as a vital hub for international air traffic.

Operational Recovery and Global Connectivity

In recent weeks, the carrier has strategically reinstated services across the Americas, Europe, Africa, West Asia, the Far East, Australasia, and the Gulf. This expansion allows the airline to currently serve 137 destinations across 72 countries.

Key operational capacity indicators include:

Weekly Frequencies: Over 1,300 flights.
Recovered Capacity: 75% compared to pre-disruption levels.
Passenger Volume: During the adjustment period, the airline transported 4.7 million passengers, demonstrating sustained demand and traveler confidence in the brand.

Technological Innovation and In-flight Experience

To maintain its competitive edge in the long-haul sector, Emirates continues to invest in technology and premium services. One of the most significant advancements is the implementation of Starlink connectivity, which is already active on 28 aircraft, offering high-speed, low-latency internet at 40,000 feet.

Regarding entertainment and comfort, the offering includes:

ice System: The award-winning In-Flight Entertainment (IFE) system features over 6,500 channels of content in nearly 40 languages.
Gastronomy: Multi-course, regionally inspired menus developed by award-winning chefs, accompanied by a selection of premium beverages.

Flexibility and Passenger Benefits

With the aim of incentivizing travel, Emirates has introduced more flexible commercial policies and layover programs designed to enhance the user experience.

Bookings and the “Dubai Connect” Program

Effective April 2, customers making bookings will enjoy complimentary date changes across all cabin classes. Additionally, the airline allows passengers to hold a fare for 24 hours at no additional cost.

For passengers with extended connection times in Dubai (between 6 and 26 hours), the Dubai Connect program offers:

Complimentary accommodation in 4 or 5-star hotels.
Transfers between the airport and the hotel.
Included meals and UAE entry visa processing when required.

Emirates Skywards Incentives

From May 8 through August 31, 2026, Emirates Skywards loyalty program members can fast-track to premium tiers. This is made possible through reduced tier requirements and the earning of Bonus Tier Miles on flights operated by Emirates and flydubai.
