Air Europa Resumes Flights Between Madrid and Tel Aviv, Israel
The Spanish carrier Air Europa resumed operations to Israel on Monday following a continuous safety and security risk assessment of the region. This strategic reinstatement includes a gradual frequency increase to optimize international connectivity during the peak summer season.
Gradual Frequency Increase and Scheduling
The airline has structured a capacity restoration plan that will roll out progressively over the coming months to ensure route stability. The schedule will be executed according to the following timeline:
- Launch of Operations: The route resumes with four weekly frequencies.
- Mid-July: Capacity will expand to five weekly frequencies.
- August: Connectivity will peak at six weekly frequencies.

Strategic Schedules and Latin American Connectivity
Flight schedules have been carefully tailored to facilitate transit passenger traffic flows. Departures from Madrid-Barajas Airport are scheduled for 08:35, while return flights from Tel Aviv to Spain will take off at 16:05.
This time slot is critical to consolidating Madrid-Barajas’ position as a strategic hub, allowing passengers traveling to or from Latin America to benefit from quick, efficient connections within the company’s global network.
Commercial operations on this route will continue to be operated exclusively by the airline’s Boeing 787 Dreamliner fleet.
With the resumption of flights to Tel Aviv, Air Europa restores a key link in its Middle Eastern network.
