Air Peace Takes Delivery of Its First Embraer E175 to Boost West African Connectivity

Nigerian carrier Air Peace has reached a major milestone in its expansion strategy with the delivery of its first factory-new Embraer E175 aircraft. This key addition will provide the airline with greater capacity flexibility, significantly bolstering air connectivity both within Nigeria and across the wider region.

Fleet Strengthening and Strategic Partnership

The delivery of this twin-engine jet deepens the commercial relationship between the Brazilian manufacturer Embraer and Air Peace, extending beyond their existing operations with the larger E195-E2 fleet and the ERJ145 regional jets.

Arjan Meijer, President and CEO of Embraer Commercial Aviation, highlighted the significance of this delivery for the current market:

“We are delighted to deliver this first factory-new E175 to our partners at Air Peace. This delivery underscores the continued demand for right-sized aircraft at a time when airlines are looking to expand connectivity while maintaining high levels of efficiency and service.”

For his part, Dr. Allen Onyema, Chairman and CEO of Air Peace, emphasized the value of the aircraft for the company’s long-term plans:

“The delivery of our first Embraer E175 is a significant milestone in the growth of Air Peace, reflecting our commitment to boosting domestic and regional travel with a modern and efficient fleet. As we strengthen our leadership in West and Central Africa, this aircraft will increase our operational flexibility and market reach, all while maintaining the safety, reliability, and excellent service our passengers expect.”

Operational Impact and Route Expansion

The arrival of the E175 directly reinforces Air Peace’s leading position in the West African aviation market. The design of this model provides crucial competitive advantages to optimize the company’s network of destinations.

Key Aircraft Advantages

The integration of this new technological platform is expected to stimulate the domestic market by increasing flight frequencies on Nigeria’s trunk routes. Simultaneously, the airline projects the launch of new international services that will directly connect to four additional African cities.
