Condor to Resume Direct Flights to Windhoek (Namibia) for Summer 2027

German carrier Condor has announced the reinstatement of its route between Frankfurt and Windhoek to its flight schedule for the summer 2027 season. This direct link, which will operate three times a week, aims to meet the high passenger demand to Southern Africa.

Route Operational Details

The air connection is scheduled to launch operations in late June 2027. The airline’s established flight schedule will be distributed as follows:

The route will be operated by the company’s modern Airbus A330neo aircraft fleet, offering a highly competitive option for both leisure tourism and tour operators.

Return of a Key Destination in Southern Africa

With this announcement, Windhoek is reintegrated into the airline’s long-haul portfolio. The African destination had previously been part of Condor’s route network for approximately seven years, following its initial launch in November 2014.

Peter Gerber, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Condor, highlighted the significance of this market:

“Windhoek returns to our long-haul portfolio after being part of our route network for many years. Namibia has long been one of the most sought-after long-haul destinations for German tourists. With this direct connection and our modern Airbus A330neo fleet, we are creating an attractive offering for both leisure travelers and tour operators, responding to the strong demand for travel to Southern Africa.”

Availability and Early Bookings

The rollout of this route is part of the airline’s strategy to facilitate early planning for passengers ahead of the summer season.

Tickets to Windhoek, along with other initial destinations from the summer 2027 schedule, are already available for booking through the airline’s official website and all travel agencies. The remainder of the full schedule for that season will be released gradually.
