Emirates Debuts Next-Generation Premium Lounge Concept

Emirates has unveiled its new airport lounge concept, a next-generation model set for a progressive rollout across key cities within its global network this year. The initiative marks a strategic milestone in the airline’s ongoing investment to elevate the ground experience for its premium passengers, introducing an environment that redefines luxury, architectural innovation, and airport hospitality.

Multi-Million Investment and Global Rollout

Emirates is investing over AED 50 million (United Arab Emirates Dirham) into the development of each next-generation lounge, underscoring its focus on delivering world-class infrastructure.

Passengers in Germany are already experiencing the new design language following its implementation at Frankfurt and Munich airports. The global expansion schedule for the coming months includes the following openings:

“Our investment in this next-generation lounge concept reflects Emirates’ ongoing commitment to delivering a seamless, premium experience at every stage of the journey,” said Adel Al Redha, Emirates Deputy Deputy President and Chief Operating Officer. “As we expand this concept across our global network, it will set a new benchmark for airport lounges.”

Visual Identity Inspired by the Fleet and UAE Culture

The architectural design of these lounges translates the sophisticated aesthetics of the airline’s latest cabin interiors and its flagship Dubai lounges into the ground experience. The space incorporates more than 50 design enhancements distributed across clearly zoned areas for relaxation, productivity, socializing, and dining.

The visual environment of the lounges features:

Functional Spaces Optimized for Productivity

For passengers needing to maintain business continuity while traveling, the lounges offer high-privacy areas alongside communal spaces configured as social and business connectivity hubs.

The productivity-focused infrastructure includes ergonomic seating upholstered in eco-conscious Italian leather, wireless charging ports, and universal power access at every seat. Furthermore, the spaces feature an artifact wall showcasing works by local artists and elements of Emirati culture, complemented by classic Rolex clocks displaying global time zones.

A Gastronomic Offering Driven by “Culinary Theater”

Dining areas have been restructured under a concept that prioritizes live cooking and culinary dynamism. Menus feature a selection of international cuisine alongside regional specialties, complemented by a “Made In” section specifically designed to highlight local dishes from each destination.

The dining facilities feature:

The beverage program maintains the airline’s premium selection of wines, beers, champagne, and spirits. This is further enhanced by a new barista bar concept staffed by a specialized mixologist, tasked with crafting cocktails, mocktails, artisanal teas, and specialty coffees.

Holistic Wellness and Relaxation Environments

The lounge design promotes a relaxing atmosphere through the use of Emirates’ signature fragrance—featuring notes of bergamot, citrus, jasmine, and soft woods—combined with local plants and fresh flower arrangements.

Premium passenger wellness amenities comprise:

To safeguard passenger rest, all the carrier’s lounges operate under a strict silent lounge policy, minimizing audio disruptions within the facility. Through this comprehensive rollout, Emirates aligns its onboard experience with its airport services, consolidating its competitive edge in the corporate and premium leisure segments.
