Cirium, an aviation analytics firm, has released its monthly on-time performance report for May 2026. In the “Global Airlines” category, Saudia secured the top spot, with 90.12% of its flights arriving on time.
In North America, WestJet claimed first place, leading the region with an 85.88% on-time performance rate. Delta Air Lines followed in second place at 82.70%, while Alaska Airlines ranked third with 82.30%.
In the Latin American market, Copa Airlines once again emerged as the most punctual carrier, with 90.19% of its flights on time—the fifth-highest percentage globally. It was followed by Sky Airline at 89.95%, Avianca at 89.11%, Brazilian carrier GOL at 88.86%, and Azul at 86.77%.

Europe was led by Norwegian, which achieved an 88.58% on-time rate. Austrian Airlines took second place with 87.93%, while SAS rounded out the podium at 87.73%.
In the Asia-Pacific region, Jeju Air topped the list at 92.00%. Peach Aviation occupied the second position with 89.01%, and Vietnam Airlines ranked third at 87.77%.
In the Middle East and Africa, FlySafair captured first place with a 93.56% punctuality rate. Flyadeal positioned itself in second place at 93.37%, with Royal Jordanian coming in third at 90.82%.
