Wingo Launches New Nonstop Route Between Medellin and Guatemala City

Wingo launched its new nonstop route between José María Córdova International Airport —which serves Medellin—and Guatemala City on Thursday. With this operational milestone, the carrier consolidates its position as the only airline in the market offering direct, nonstop flights between the Antioquian capital and the Central American nation, significantly expanding direct travel alternatives.

The new connection will operate three weekly frequencies, scheduled for Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays. Aiming to maintain competitiveness in the ultra-low-cost carrier (ULCC) market, introductory fares are available starting at $119 USD per leg, a price that includes all mandatory fees and taxes.

Throughout 2026, the carrier has already transported more than 630,000 passengers to and from Medellin, reflecting the dynamism and high demand of the regional aviation market.
