American Airlines will reactivate its non-stop flights between Miami and Simón Bolívar International Airport in Maiquetía beginning September 3, following the temporary suspension triggered by the June 24 earthquakes.
According to information published on the carrier’s official website, the resumption of operations will feature a double-daily frequency operated under the following schedule:
Miami – Caracas
- Departure 08:46 – Arrival 12:15 (Embraer 175)
- Departure 10:00 – Arrival 13:36 (Boeing 737-800)
Caracas – Miami
- Departure 13:00 – Arrival 16:31 (Embraer 175)
- Departure 14:40 – Arrival 18:16 (Boeing 737-800)
The restoration of this service reinforces the airline’s presence in the Venezuelan market. On April 30, 2026, following a seven-year hiatus, American Airlines became the first US carrier to restore air connectivity between the United States and Venezuela by relaunching direct flights.
The legacy carrier subsequently expanded its domestic network footprint by inaugurating service to La Chinita International Airport in Maracaibo on July 14, where it currently operates a daily flight.
