Discover Airlines Expands Short-Haul Network with Three New Great Britain Destinations for Summer 2027

Discover Airlines will significantly expand its flight offerings during the summer of 2027 by adding three new destinations in Great Britain. The Lufthansa Group leisure carrier will add Bristol in England, as well as Glasgow and Inverness in Scotland, to its network, becoming the only airline to offer direct connections from Frankfurt to these three cities.

Key Connections from Frankfurt and Munich Hubs

As part of this network realignment and growth strategy, Discover Airlines will operate the new routes using Airbus A320 aircraft.

In addition to flights from Frankfurt, Glasgow will be connected to Munich Airport—a route previously operated by Lufthansa. With these additions, the carrier’s summer schedule to Great Britain will reach up to eleven weekly flights.

Overview of Great Britain and Ireland Operations

Regarding this expansion strategy, Marco Götz, Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) of Discover Airlines, noted:

“We are always on the lookout for attractive destinations to offer travelers even more options and, above all, new travel experiences. We see a clear trend toward nature, outdoor activities, and trips that combine culture and landscapes; our three new destinations fit this trend perfectly. They open up a wide variety of ways to discover Great Britain. We are all the more pleased that our guests will be able to reach these destinations this summer more easily than ever through our two hubs in Frankfurt and Munich.”

Availability and Bookings

All new schedules are already available for booking through the airline’s official portals, as well as via travel agencies and German tour operators.
