National Airlines has successfully operated a 9,849-nautical-mile non-stop flight between Glasgow Prestwick, Scotland, and Melbourne, Australia, recording a total flight time of 19 hours and 23 minutes. This unprecedented operation sets what is considered the longest recorded commercial non-stop flight for a payload-bearing Boeing 777 Freighter operating on behalf of another airline.
Fleet Modernization and Expansion Plan
This operational achievement comes amidst a comprehensive fleet modernization plan executed by the carrier. Last month, the airline took delivery of its third Boeing 777 Freighter within a span of just four months and expects to integrate a fourth unit in the coming months.
These aircraft are part of an order placed by the company in 2024 for four factory-new 777F units. The addition of these freighters enables the carrier to modernize its fleet, expand cargo capacity, and strengthen its long-haul operations.

National Airlines, a subsidiary of National Air Cargo, currently maintains an operational fleet comprising the following aircraft types:
- 3 Boeing 777-200F
- 9 Boeing 747F
- 3 Airbus A330 passenger aircraft
