According to an official notification submitted to Colombia’s Civil Aviation Authority (Aerocivil), the airline Wingo will suspend its service between Bogotá and Guatemala City effective August 17.
Following Wingo’s departure, Avianca will remain as the sole carrier operating direct flights on the Bogotá–Guatemala City route.
Regarding passengers impacted by the route suspension, Colombian aviation authorities stated that Wingo will ensure full protection of passenger rights, operating in strict compliance with the provisions established under the Colombian Aviation Regulations (RAC).
