Condor Overhauls Shareholder Structure Following German State Exit

German leisure carrier Condor is reorganizing its shareholder structure. The move follows the early repayment of the state aid package received by the airline, which was fully settled in the spring of 2026.

As a result of this repayment, the 49% stake held to date by SG Luftfahrtgesellschaft—acting on behalf of the Federal Republic of Germany and the State of Hesse—will be restructured. This development formalizes the exercise of the call option agreed upon in 2021, when long-term investor Attestor initially entered the airline’s capital to acquire those shares.

According to the corporate timeline, the transaction is scheduled to close on August 31, 2027.
