EasyJet Expands UK Connectivity With 18 New Routes For Summer 2027
Low-cost carrier easyJet has announced the launch and sale of 18 new routes and vacation packages from the United Kingdom ahead of the Summer 2027 season. The expansion encompasses direct flights to multiple destinations across Spain, France, Italy, Greece, Bulgaria, Cyprus, Germany, and Montenegro, complemented by its tour operator division, easyJet holidays.
Highlighting this deployment, the carrier is adding six new routes to Spain, six new services from Scottish airports, and numerous city pairs where it will operate as the sole scheduled carrier.
Girona Debut and Spanish Market Expansion
The marquee development in the schedule is the introduction of Girona, a destination easyJet will serve from the UK for the first time with two nonstop links:
- Liverpool – Girona: Launches March 28 with a twice-weekly frequency (Wednesdays and Sundays). easyJet will be the sole operator on this route.
- London Gatwick – Girona: Commences June 3, operating three times weekly (Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays).
Situated in Catalonia, Girona serves as a gateway to the resorts and coastal enclaves of the Costa Brava, alongside its own cultural, historical, and culinary attractions.
The carrier’s Spanish network expansion is rounded out by four additional routes:
- Aberdeen – Barcelona: Starting March 31, operating twice weekly (Wednesdays and Saturdays), positioning the airline as the only nonstop carrier in the city pair.
- Aberdeen – Mallorca: Takes off May 3, operating twice per week (Thursdays and Sundays).
- Liverpool – Murcia: Commences March 29 with twice-weekly flights (Mondays and Fridays) as an exclusive direct service.
- Edinburgh – Bilbao: Scheduled to launch March 30, operating two rotations per week (Tuesdays and Saturdays).

New Connections to France, Italy, and Germany
The airline will also introduce three unserved routes to the French market, including two services to the island of Corsica:
- London Gatwick – Ajaccio: Launches June 30 (Wednesdays and Saturdays) as the sole carrier on the route.
- Manchester – Bastia: Commences June 29, operating twice weekly (Tuesdays and Saturdays) with route exclusivity.
- Bristol – Montpellier: Takes off July 1 with a twice-weekly schedule (Thursdays and Sundays), where the airline will also face no direct competition.
In Italy and Germany, easyJet is enhancing point-to-point business and leisure connectivity:
- Birmingham – Milan Malpensa: Starting March 29 (Mondays and Fridays), making easyJet the only operator connecting both airports.
- Edinburgh – Rome Fiumicino: Launches March 30 with two flights per week (Tuesdays and Saturdays).
- Edinburgh – Hamburg: Commences March 29 with twice-weekly frequencies (Mondays and Fridays) as the sole direct carrier on the route.
Eastern European and Mediterranean Expansion
The airline’s Summer 2027 schedule also outlines significant growth into Eastern Europe and the Eastern Mediterranean:
- Tivat (Montenegro): Service from Edinburgh starts March 29 (Mondays and Thursdays), making easyJet the first airline to operate this link. Additionally, Birmingham – Tivat will be inaugurated on May 3, also operating on Mondays and Thursdays.
- Burgas (Bulgaria): New direct connection from Bristol launching May 28 with twice-weekly service (Mondays and Fridays).
- Larnaca (Cyprus): Expansion at the Newcastle base with a new weekly flight on Wednesdays, beginning March 31.
- Greece: An exclusive route between London Southend and Rhodes begins April 27 (Tuesdays and Saturdays), followed by London Luton – Thessaloniki starting May 1 with a weekly Saturday service.
Integration With easyJet Holidays
All new routes will be packaged alongside easyJet holidays offerings, available for early booking with a reduced deposit of £60 per person. These package options bundle airfare, selected hotel accommodation, a 23 kg checked baggage allowance, and airport transfers for beach destinations.

With this capacity rollout, the airline is advancing the forward commercialization of its Summer 2027 operational schedule across regional UK airports and core operating bases.
