SKY Seals Interline Agreement with Qantas Airways to Connect South America and Oceania

SKY Airline has formalized a new interline agreement with Australia’s flag carrier, Qantas Airways. This strategic partnership marks an operational milestone by linking SKY’s South American network with travelers arriving from Oceania for the first time through key connections via Santiago.

Key destinations available to inbound international passengers include:

Lima (Peru)
Buenos Aires and Mendoza (Argentina)
São Paulo and Florianópolis (Brazil)
Montevideo (Uruguay)
Multiple domestic destinations across Chile

“Through this agreement with Qantas, we are taking a particularly significant step by connecting our network with travelers from Oceania for the first time, strengthening our presence in this new strategic market. This alliance allows us to provide more international travelers with seamless access to our South American route network, boosting tourism and strengthening regional connectivity,” said Julio Solar, Network and Alliances Director at SKY.

The agreement is already active: Qantas passengers can purchase integrated single-itinerary tickets that incorporate SKY-operated segments, streamlining transit connections from Sydney to multiple points across the region.

The interline integration delivers direct passenger benefits:

Single ticket issuance: Centralized purchase of the complete itinerary under a single booking reference.
Through check-in: Unified check-in process covering the entire journey.
Through-checked baggage: Luggage checked directly through to the final destination, eliminating the need to re-check bags at intermediate transit hubs.

The addition of Qantas consolidates SKY’s global partnership strategy, expanding its connectivity network alongside other major legacy and international carriers with which it already maintains interline agreements:
