Regional carrier Air Tahiti has welcomed a new ATR 72-600 to its fleet, configured exclusively in business class under the ATR HighLine All-Business Class concept. With this delivery, the airline becomes the world’s second operator to adopt this premium layout on an ATR aircraft, marking a strategic milestone in exclusive regional air transport.
An Executive Cabin Designed for a Premium Regional Experience
The configuration selected by Air Tahiti is tailored to meet the demands of the high-end travel market. The passenger cabin features 26 individual seats arranged in a 1-1 layout.
Key comfort and interior design features include:
- Direct aisle access: Every passenger enjoys direct, unimpeded aisle access.
- Enhanced privacy: Dedicated private rows designed for couples seeking greater privacy.
- Increased living space and storage: Offers expanded personal space alongside dedicated stowage compartments.
- In-flight connectivity: Seats equipped with Universal Serial Bus Type-A and Type-C (USB-A/C) charging ports.
- Cabin ambiance: Features an executive-style ceiling design that enhances illumination and creates a greater sense of cabin spaciousness.
- Cultural identity: The interior aesthetic was developed in close collaboration with Air Tahiti, pairing high-end comfort with design cues inspired by Polynesian culture.

Powering the New ‘Air Tahiti Signature’ Service
The newly delivered turboprop will serve as the centerpiece for launching ‘Air Tahiti Signature’, an end-to-end premium travel experience developed by the airline. This offering complements the upgraded cabin product with dedicated ground services and an enhanced onboard service concept.
Routes and Operational Profiles
The aircraft will connect Tahiti with some of French Polynesia’s most sought-after destinations, including Bora Bora and Raiatea-Tahaa. Air Tahiti plans a dual operational approach for the type, deploying it on scheduled commercial flights as well as on-demand charter operations.
Operational Versatility and a Four-Decade ATR Partnership
This fleet addition is part of Air Tahiti’s ongoing fleet renewal program and extends a commercial and operational partnership with ATR spanning nearly four decades.
The regional turboprop will operate across the islands of French Polynesia, combining premium cabin standards with the inherent advantages of the platform:
- Operational flexibility for regional point-to-point routes.
- Reduced fuel burn and lower emissions.
- Proven regional connectivity, accommodating a broader range of airline business models.
The delivery to Air Tahiti follows the entry into service of the world’s first ATR 72-600 featuring the ATR HighLine All-Business Class cabin by Berjaya Air earlier this year.
Air Tahiti’s ATR HighLine-configured ATR 72-600 is scheduled to make its commercial debut in December 2026, officially launching flights under the ‘Air Tahiti Signature’ brand to reshape premium connectivity across French Polynesia.
