Starting this upcoming October 25, Avianca will boost its connectivity between Colombia and Venezuela by ramping up to two daily non-stop flights on the Bogota–Caracas route. This expansion will bring the offering to 14 weekly frequencies, matching the capacity operated by the carrier prior to the earthquakes that struck Venezuela on June 24.
Route Schedules and Timetables
The nonstop flight schedule between the Colombian and Venezuelan capitals is structured as follows:
– New frequency:
Bogota – Caracas: Departure at 15:45 | Arrival at 18:45
Caracas – Bogota: Departure at 20:10 | Arrival at 21:05
– Existing frequency:
Bogota – Caracas: Departure at 23:20 | Arrival at 02:25
Caracas – Bogota: Departure at 04:00 | Arrival at 05:00
Active Routes and Avianca’s Footprint in the Venezuelan Market
With this update, the airline solidifies a robust direct route network connecting Venezuelan territory to Bogota:
- Bogota – Caracas: Increases from one daily flight to twice-daily service beginning October 25.
- Bogota – Valencia: Maintains seven weekly frequencies (daily service).
- Bogota – Maracaibo: Retains a daily nonstop operation linking Colombia’s capital with the state of Zulia.
The added flight frequencies to Caracas reinforce Bogota’s position as a pivotal hub for travelers originating from Venezuela, enabling seamless connectivity across key destinations within Avianca’s international network across North, Central, and South America.
