The new transatlantic service links the Portuguese capital with the Sunshine State via a scheduled operation catering to both corporate and leisure traffic.

Strategic North American Expansion

This new link addresses growing business and leisure demand across the Atlantic, providing direct access to one of the most visited and economically dynamic regions in the United States.

“With the launch of the Lisbon–Orlando route, TAP Air Portugal continues to invest in strengthening its North American network, a market of paramount importance for the company. This new service brings Portugal closer to one of the leading tourism and economic regions in the United States, while offering our customers onward connection opportunities across Europe, Africa, and South America,” stated Renato Inacio, the airline’s Chief Financial Officer, who was aboard the inaugural flight.

Lisbon Hub as an Intercontinental Gateway

The service consolidates the strategic position of the Lisbon hub as a key transatlantic gateway. Travelers departing Orlando gain seamless connectivity to the carrier’s network across dozens of destinations throughout Portugal, Europe, Africa, and South America.

The addition of this route supports TAP Air Portugal’s sustainable growth and internationalization strategy, which currently supports a global network exceeding 1,100 weekly flights.
