LATAM Airlines Reports US$441 Million Q3 2026 Net Profit, Raises Full-Year Guidance

LATAM Airlines Group posted a net income of US$441 million for the third quarter of 2026, representing a 16.3% increase compared to the same period last year. This financial performance was driven by robust demand across both passenger and cargo segments, which helped offset a 52.1% surge in jet fuel prices.

Operational Strength and Financial Performance

During the third quarter of 2026, the group’s total operating revenues reached US$4.567 billion, marking an 18.4% growth compared to Q3 2025.

Adjusted Earnings Before Interest, Taxes, Depreciation, and Amortization (Adjusted EBITDA) stood at US$1.095 billion. Meanwhile, adjusted operating income reached US$573 million, translating into an adjusted operating margin of 12.5% (compared to 18.1% recorded in the same period of 2025).

The period was marked by a significantly higher fuel cost environment. Average jet fuel prices jumped 52.1% year-over-year, generating an estimated adverse financial impact of approximately US$520 million.

Despite this headwind, the group expanded its consolidated capacity by 7.7% compared to Q3 2025 while maintaining a healthy passenger load factor of 83.7%.

“The third-quarter results once again demonstrate the strength of LATAM’s business model and its ability to sustain solid performance, even amid persistent volatility in jet fuel prices. Our route network, differentiated value proposition, and financial position remain fundamental pillars in earning customer preference and delivering results,” stated Ricardo Bottas, Chief Financial Officer of LATAM Airlines Group.
