LATAM Airlines <\/strong>has reported a gradual recovery of its operations in recent months, with activity of 6.4%, 9.2% and 13.9% in June, July and August, respectively, after a “drastic reduction” due to the pandemic.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

With respect to the August operation, passenger traffic decreased by 89.1% over the previous year, while its capacity decreased by 86.1% compared to August 2019.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At the international level, LATAM added a new direct flight to Madrid, complementing its flights to Miami and Sao Paulo\/Guarulhos; the latter being a connection center for domestic flights both in Brazil and to Europe (Frankfurt, Lisbon, London and Madrid).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In Chile, during August, the airline resumed flights to Copiap\u00f3, La Serena and Temuco, increased frequencies to destinations such as Iquique, Calama, Antofagasta, Puerto Montt and Punta Arenas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The company assures to continue with a strong safety and hygiene campaign in all its operations, according to the recommendations of the World Health Organization (WHO), the health authorities and the International Air Transport Association (IATA).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On all flights, the use of masks is required throughout the journey, alcohol gel is available in the cabin and an on-board service is implemented to reduce interaction between crew and passengers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
