A cargo plane, operated by Silverstone Air, crashed into a perimeter wall after leaving the runway at Mogadishu’s Aden Adde International Airport on Saturday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Transport Minister Mohamed Abdullahi Salad said three of the four crew members were injured.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Abdullahi reported that the plane had just taken off for the city of Beledweyne, but had had to return to the airport after mechanical problems.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Somalia has seen at least two other such plane crashes so far this year. In July, a cargo plane carrying humanitarian aid crashed in Beledweyne. In May, six people died when an African Express plane carrying medical supplies crashed near Bardale.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n<\/amp-auto-ads>\n\n\n\n
