After the authorization of Phase II of domestic operations by the authorities, Avianca<\/strong> will resume flights this October 1st from Bogota to 11 destinations in the country, including cities such as: Armenia, Corozal, Barrancabermeja, Yopal, Florencia, Ibague, Manizales, Neiva, Popayan, Riohacha and Villavicencio.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

These destinations are added to those that the company resumed in its first phase during September: San Andr\u00e9s, Barranquilla, Cali, C\u00facuta, Medell\u00edn, Cartagena, Bucaramanga, Pereira, Pasto and Santa Marta.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“This second phase of the resumption of domestic flights is marked by the reactivation of a large number of regional airports, which are very important for Avianca and its customers. Our mission is to continue connecting Colombia, so we are very excited to start connecting the country’s regions again. In this phase, self-care and strict monitoring of the biosecurity protocols by passengers continues to be key. On our side, customers can fly with absolute confidence, because we will continue to take care of them, as well as our employees,” said Julian Laverde, Vice President of Network Operations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

With respect to the balance of the national operation to date, since September 1st the company has made more than 1,000 flights in which it has transported more than 94,000 passengers, who have fully followed the instructions and recommendations of biosecurity. Among the destinations that have had greater demand are Bucaramanga, Cali, Cartagena and Medellin, cities in which the airline operates between 2 and 4 daily frequencies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Avianca expects to continue increasing its operation as long as the activation scheme designed by the Civil Aeronautics allows it and as the demand of passengers requires it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It is important to highlight that the resumption of air operations throughout the country will be gradual and the number of flights approved by the authorities is limited. Therefore, the availability of seats depends on the authorized capacity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n<\/amp-auto-ads>\n\n\n\n
