Viva Aerobus, Mexico’s ultra low-cost airline, celebrated its 14th anniversary this Monday, leading the sector’s reactivation by becoming the first Mexican airline to grow its operational capacity compared to last year. Thus, Viva will offer 128 routes this year end (103 domestic and 25 international), an increase of nine routes compared to those operated by the end of 2019.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“Today we celebrate 14 years of service to our passengers, revolutionizing the aviation industry with a service that provides a safe, reliable option at the best price. Thus, we have contributed in the connectivity, the economic and tourist development of the country”, said Juan Carlos Zuazua, General Director of Viva Aerobus.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As a result of this commitment by Viva Aerobus, this month the new routes from Mexico City to Ciudad Obregon, Durango, Los Mochis and Chicago will begin operations. Likewise, the regular routes from Mexicali to Guadalajara and Monterrey, from Guadalajara to Houston and Culiac\u00e1n, the Ixtapa Zihuatanejo – Mexico City flights, among others; as well as the Monterrey – Los Angeles and Canc\u00fan – Newark seasonal routes, and those connecting Chicago O’Hare to Guanajuato, Monterrey, Morelia and Zacatecas will be reactivated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The new flights from Mexico City are part of the 20 routes announced by the airline during the health emergency.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
