Virgin Atlantic <\/strong>will offer “the ultimate 747 experience” for fans of the plane this Dec. 12 at Heathrow Airport, before it is retired.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the airline’s hangar, pilots, cabin crew and engineers will welcome fans for a three-hour experience, starting with a tour of access to all areas, and even including a meal (3 courses) in the business class seats.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Fans will tour the aircraft, including the crew rest areas, the cargo hold and the flight deck.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

They will also hear anecdotes about the 747 from those who used to fly it, including Yvonne Kershaw, the first female captain of the Virgin 747.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The tickets, which cost 50 pounds ($67), go on sale Monday, Dec. 7, at 9 a.m. through Eventbrite, although fans will have to be quick as space is restricted to ensure social distancing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
