A man was detained Saturday after boarding an Alaska Airlines<\/strong> plane at Las Vegas, an airport spokesman said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Flight 1367 from Las Vegas to Portland was preparing to take off from McCarran International Airport when the pilot noticed a person approaching the plane and notified the control tower, the airline said in a statement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department and airport officials took the man into custody, airport spokesman Joe Rajchel, CNN<\/a> reported.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The man had jumped a perimeter fence and was observed by airport personnel around 1:40 p.m., according to Rajchel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
