The passenger airplane MC-21-310 equipped with Russian engines PD-14 has completed its first flight, informed the Rostec corporation this Tuesday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“The test flight of the MC-21-300 airplane equipped with the new Russian engines PD-14 was made this December 15, 2020 at the Irkutsk Plant airfield,” said Rostec.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During the flight, the operation of the engines, the stability of the aircraft, the sensitivity and all the systems of the plane were tested, indicated the Russian news agency TASS.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The MC-21 is a medium-range passenger aircraft. The version of the base aircraft with American PW1400 engines is known as the MC-21-300. Customers of the aircraft are expected to select the engine for flight operation. Future versions are also expected to be produced with a capacity of 132 to 165 seats and up to 250 seats.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
