Cuba reported that it will restrict international flights from several countries and tighten border restrictions from January 1, following an increase in new cases of coronavirus on the island.\u202f<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The new measures include temporary restrictions on the arrival of travelers from the United States, Mexico, Panama, the Bahamas, Haiti and the Dominican Republic.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Health officials on the island reported that more than 70% of the new cases of Covid-19 are of people arriving in the country from abroad. They added that this decrease in flights would help control the spread of the virus.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The island set a new record on Monday for daily cases of Covid, with 229 new positive cases of which 136 are imported.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
