Airbus<\/strong> reported Friday that it delivered 566 commercial aircraft to 87 customers in 2020, according to the production adaptation plan established in April 2020 in response to the COVID-19 pandemic.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Deliveries included: 38 A220s, 446 A320 Family, 19 A330s, 59 A350s and 4 A380s.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In order to overcome the restrictions of international travel, the Airbus team developed an innovative electronic delivery solution that accounted for more than 25% of deliveries in 2020, enabling customers to receive their aircraft and minimizing the need for their teams to travel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In 2020, Airbus registered a total of 383 new orders, 268 net. The A220 won 64 new orders, the A320 Family won 296 new orders, including 37 A321XLR. In the wide-body segment, the manufacturer won 23 new orders, including two A330s and 21 A350s. After 115 cancellations at the end of 2020, the order book stood at 7,184 aircraft.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“Working hand in hand with our customers allowed us to weather a difficult year. Airbus teams, customers and suppliers really pulled together in the face of adversity to achieve this result. We also thank our partners and governments for their strong support of the industry. Based on our deliveries in 2020, we are cautiously optimistic for 2021, although the challenges and uncertainties remain high in the short term,” said Guillaume Faury, Airbus CEO.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
