This included a complete review of procedural efficiency controls, visual observation of health and safety levels at all stages of passenger travel and on-board adenosine triphosphate (ATP) sampling tests to measure the potential level of contamination on contact surfaces.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>See also: <\/strong><a href=\"https:\/en\/2020\/09\/rome-fiumicino-airport-the-first-airport-in-the-world-to-receive-covid-19-5-star-airport-rating.html\">Rome Fiumicino Airport the first airport in the world to receive COVID-19 5-Star Airport Rating.<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The achievement of Skytrax&#8217;s COVID-19 5-star airline safety rating comes on top of the fact that Hamad International Airport (HIA), Qatar Airways&#8217; headquarters and hub, was recently named the first airport in the Middle East and Asia to receive Skytrax&#8217;s COVID-19 5-star safety rating in December 2020.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;As an industry leader and the &#8216;Best Airline in the World&#8217;, as Skytrax is called, we are well used to setting the standard for others to follow.
