Nigeria has lifted its suspension of Emirates airlines flights imposed after the carrier sought additional COVID-19 tests for passengers from Nigeria, a spokesman for the country\u2019s aviation regulator said on Friday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThe suspension has just been lifted, because they have complied with what we want,\u201d said the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) spokesman in a phone call, Reuters<\/a> reported.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

An Emirates spokesperson said the company \u201ccan confirm that we will continue to operate services to Abuja and Lagos.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A spokesman for the Ministry of Aviation told a press conference Monday that the United Arab Emirates (UAE), in addition to requiring a PCR test before flying from Nigeria, was adding an additional requirement to take a quick test four hours before departure, and had indicated that airlines insisting on the additional test would be suspended until a proper structure was in place to conduct the second test within four hours of departure.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
