The Swiss company CH-Aviation, a provider of aviation intelligence and data analysis, carried out a ranking that classifies the fleets of different airlines worldwide according to their age. In this context, the company ranked SKY Airline<\/strong> number one in the region, crowning it as the airline operating with the newest fleet in South America and second in the world.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“For us it is essential that our passengers can travel in safe and modern aircraft, with state-of-the-art technology that today manages to significantly reduce the chances of contagion of coronavirus during the flight, being also friendlier to the environment by the considerable reduction of CO2 emissions and fuel savings compared to the previous fleet model,” said Jos\u00e9 Ignacio Dougnac, CEO of SKY.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Likewise, Thomas Jaeger, CEO and founder of CH-Aviation, pointed out that “in our company we believe it is crucial to give visibility to airlines that actively work on updating and maintaining their fleets. In doing so, they help reduce CO2 emissions and maintain the efficiency of their aircraft. SKY Airline is an excellent example of an airline successfully achieving this goal.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In November 2018, SKY began a fleet renewal process as part of its expansion plan in the region. Today, the low cost airline’s 17 Airbus A320neo aircraft are equipped with HEPA filters, capable of trapping microscopic particles, including Coronavirus, renewing the air throughout the cabin every three minutes and minimizing the chances of contagion on board.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
