{"id":108441,"date":"2021-04-15T21:00:36","date_gmt":"2021-04-15T21:00:36","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/?p=108441"},"modified":"2021-04-16T00:07:45","modified_gmt":"2021-04-16T00:07:45","slug":"emirates-trials-iata-travel-pass","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/aviacionaldia.com\/en\/2021\/04\/emirates-trials-iata-travel-pass.html","title":{"rendered":"Emirates begins trials IATA Travel Pass."},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>Emirates <\/strong>thursday commenced trials of the International Air Transport Association (IATA) Travel Pass\u2013 a mobile app to help passengers easily and securely manage their travel in line with any government requirements for COVID-19 testing or vaccine information.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em><strong>See also:<\/strong> <a href=\"https:\/en\/2021\/03\/emirates-will-resume-flights-to-orlando-starting-in-june.html\">Emirates will resume flights to Orlando starting in June.<\/a><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The first passengers travelling from Dubai to Barcelona on EK 185 today trialled the \u2018digital passport\u2019 to verify and share their pre-travel COVID-19 test status with Emirates.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The trials are a step towards making travel more convenient, enabling travellers to manage COVID-19 related documentation digitally, safely and seamlessly throughout the travel experience. In the future, travellers will also be able to share vaccination certificates with authorities and airlines to facilitate travel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><em>See also: <\/em><\/strong><a href=\"https:\/en\/2021\/03\/emirates-will-restart-link-between-milan-and-new-york-jfk.html\"><em>Emirates will restart link between Milan and New York JFK.<\/em><\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThe ability to process passengers\u2019 COVID-19 relevant data for travel digitally will be the way forward. We are pleased to have been pioneers and partner with IATA in trialling this initiative in real time and soon will be launching other initiatives to further enhance our customer experience\u201d, said Adel Al Redha, Emirates\u2019 Chief Operating Officer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The trial is being done on selected Emirates flights from Dubai to Barcelona and London Heathrow to Dubai; and will soon be
