Following previously announced expansions in Europe for the summer of 2021, KLM<\/strong> is adding new destinations to its intercontinental network this winter (from October 31, 2021 to March 26, 2022).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This is in line with KLM’s strategy to build its network first where recovery is expected to be fastest and to offer customers the widest possible choice of destinations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The new destinations are Mombasa (Kenya), Orlando (United States), Cancun (Mexico), Bridgetown (Barbados), Port of Spain (Trinidad and Tobago) and Phuket (Thailand).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Kenyan beach destination of Mombasa will be operated twice a week with a Boeing 787-9. This type of aircraft will also be used to fly to Orlando (Florida) four times a week, and to the Mexican resort of Cancun three times a week. With the Airbus A330, travelers will be able to fly to Bridgetown (Barbados) three times a week and to Port of Spain (Trinidad & Tobago) three times a week. The Thai island of Phuket will be offered four times a week with the Boeing 777-300.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“KLM takes the next important step in rebuilding the network for the benefit of our customers. During the summer, 99 European destinations will be served and, with this step, the airline’s network of intercontinental destinations will become substantial again in winter.” said Pieter Elbers, CEO of KLM.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
