{"id":113865,"date":"2021-07-22T19:00:00","date_gmt":"2021-07-22T19:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/?p=113865"},"modified":"2021-07-23T11:23:48","modified_gmt":"2021-07-23T11:23:48","slug":"two-gulf-aircraft-involved-incident-dubai-airport","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/aviacionaldia.com\/en\/2021\/07\/two-gulf-aircraft-involved-incident-dubai-airport.html","title":{"rendered":"Two Gulf aircraft involved in &#8216;minor incident&#8217; at Dubai airport."},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>The tail of a <strong>Gulf Air <\/strong>passenger jet was struck by the wing of a<strong> FlyDubai<\/strong> aircraft at Dubai International Airport on Thursday, in what an airfield spokesman described as a &#8220;minor incident.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em><strong>See also:<\/strong> <a href=\"https:\/en\/2021\/07\/emirates-inaugurates-flights-to-miami-florida.html\">Emirates inaugurates flights to Miami, Florida.<\/a><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The UAE General Authority for Civil Aviation said in a statement, &#8220;A minor collision occurred this morning between two aircraft, one belonging to Fly Dubai and the other to Gulf Air, on a taxiway at Dubai International Airport, resulting in minor damage to the tail of one of the two aircraft and the wing of the other, no persons were reported injured.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;As a result, one runway was temporarily closed to allow the incident to be managed quickly. Operations at DXB were not affected and the runway was reopened after two hours,&#8221; a spokesman for Dubai Airports told Reuters.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Related
