According to the regional manager of Economic Development of the Regional Government, \u00c1ngel El\u00edas Paullo Nina, the work will begin with cabinet work, designs, updating of plans, logistics, among others, reported <a href=\"https:\/\/larepublica.pe\/sociedad\/2021\/09\/02\/cusco-inicio-segunda-etapa-de-construccion-del-aeropuerto-de-chinchero-lrsd\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">La Rep\u00fablica<\/a> newspaper.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Therefore, physical progress will begin in January 2022. These works, which will require an investment of US$427 million, are in charge of the Natividad de Chinchero consortium made up of Hyundai Engineering &amp; Construction CO. LTD (Korea), Sinohydro Corporation Limited (China), ICA Constructora S.A. de C.V. (Mexico) and HV Contratistas (Mexico). (Mexico) and HV Contratistas (Peru).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The airport infrastructure will be completed in 47 months, including the passenger terminal, which will be eight times larger than the current Alejandro Velasco Astete airport.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Once operational, the new airport will generate close to 5,000 direct jobs, benefiting more than one million people.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2
