{"id":116089,"date":"2021-09-14T12:01:56","date_gmt":"2021-09-14T12:01:56","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/?p=116089"},"modified":"2021-09-14T12:02:25","modified_gmt":"2021-09-14T12:02:25","slug":"chinas-first-c919-jet-china-eastern","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/aviacionaldia.com\/en\/2021\/09\/chinas-first-c919-jet-china-eastern.html","title":{"rendered":"China&#8217;s first C919 jet bound for airline to enter final assembly."},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>China\u2019s first<strong> C919 <\/strong>narrowbody jet to be delivered to launch customer China Eastern Airlines is about to enter final assembly, China\u2019s aviation regulator said on Monday, with delivery due before the end of the year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><em>See also: <\/em><\/strong><a href=\"https:\/en\/2021\/09\/construction-first-cr929-aircraft-begins.html\"><em>Construction the first Sino-Russian CR929 aircraft begins.<\/em><\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The C919, being built by state-owned planemaker Commercial Aircraft Corp of China (COMAC), will mark a milestone in a decade-long programme to rival aircraft made by Airbus and Boeing, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.reuters.com\/article\/china-aviation-comac\/refile-chinas-first-c919-jet-bound-for-airline-to-enter-final-assembly-regulator-idUSL8N2QG06X\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">Reuters<\/a> reported.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The C919 programme\u2019s certification board met in Shanghai on Sept. 10 and reviewed COMAC reports on batch production of the jet, the Eastern Region Administration of the Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC) said on its social media account.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><em>Se<\/em><\/strong><em><strong>e also:<\/strong> <a href=\"https:\/en\/2021\/09\/wright-electric-powerful-zero-emission-engine.html\">Wright Electric successfully tests a powerful new zero-emission engine.<\/a><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>COMAC hopes to obtain a type certificate by the end of the year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The board also approved proposals to adjust the current plans for obtaining the aircraft\u2019s production certificate, which is required for mass production, the regulator said, without giving further details.
