{"id":117119,"date":"2021-10-15T19:00:00","date_gmt":"2021-10-15T19:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/?p=117119"},"modified":"2021-10-16T00:08:18","modified_gmt":"2021-10-16T00:08:18","slug":"united-announces-five-new-international-destinations","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/aviacionaldia.com\/en\/2021\/10\/united-announces-five-new-international-destinations.html","title":{"rendered":"United announces five new international destinations for summer 2022."},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>United Airlines<\/strong> friday announced the largest transatlantic expansion in its history, including 10 new flights and five new, vogue destinations \u2013 Amman, Jordan; Bergen, Norway; Azores, Portugal; Palma de Mallorca, Spain and Tenerife in the Spanish Canary Islands. All of the new routes \u2013 which are set to begin in Spring 2022 \u2013 are not served by any other North American carrier.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Flights between Washington, D.C. and Amman (Jordan) will begin May 5 with three weekly frequencies on Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner aircraft.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><em>\u2192 <\/em><\/strong><a href=\"https:\/en\/2021\/09\/united-airlines-will-fly-washington-nigeria.html\"><em>United Airlines will fly between Washington, D.C. and Lagos, Nigeria beginning in November.<\/em><\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The route between New York\/Newark and Ponta Delgada, Azores, will begin May 13 on Boeing 737 MAX 8 aircraft.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Beginning May 20, United will become the only U.S. airline to fly to Norway with the launch of flights between New York\/Newark and Bergen. The airline will offer three weekly flights on Boeing 757-200 aircraft.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Flights between New York\/Newark and Palma de Mallorca will begin June 2 with three weekly frequencies on Boeing 767-300ER aircraft.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em><strong>\u2192<\/strong> <a href=\"https:\/en\/2021\/09\/united-airlines-fined-1-9-million.html\">United Airlines fined $1.9 million for tarmac delays.<\/a><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The New York\/Newark to Tenerife route will operate from June 9 with three weekly frequencies on Boeing 757-200 aircraft.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Additionally, next year, United will add new flights to five popular European destinations: Berlin, Dublin, Milan, Munich and Rome. Lastly, United will launch seven routes that were interrupted due to the pandemic to Bangalore, Frankfurt, Tokyo&#8217;s Haneda Airport, Nice and Zurich. Flights are subject to government approval.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;Given our big expectations for a rebound in travel to Europe for summer, this is the right time to leverage our leading global network in new, exciting ways,&#8221; said Patrick Quayle, senior vice president of international network and alliances at United. &#8220;Our expansion offers the widest range of destinations to discover
