FlightAware, a flight tracking site, said American had also delayed more than 1,000 flights since Friday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em><strong>\u2192<\/strong> <a href=\"https:\/en\/2021\/10\/american-airlines-redesigns-aadvantage.html\">American Airlines redesigns its AAdvantage loyalty program.<\/a><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWith additional weather throughout the system, our staffing begins to run tight as crew members end up out of their regular flight sequences,\u201d the airline said in a statement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The company said it expected to get through this period of irregular operations soon.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Heading towards the busy holiday travel season, carriers are working to hire more employees.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>\u2192 <a href=\"https:\/en\/2021\/10\/american-flight-is-diverted-to-denver.html\">American flight is diverted to Denver after a passenger assaulted a flight attendant.<\/a><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>American Airlines said it is increasing its staffing across all operations, with nearly 1,800 flight attendants returning from leave and more than 600 newly hired flight attendants coming on board by the end of December, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.reuters.com\/article\/usa-airlines-american-airlines\/update-1-american-airlines-cancels-1400-flights-due-to-staff-shortages-bad-weather-idUSL1N2RR01Q\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">Reuters<\/a> reported.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Southwest also said it was hiring aggressively, with the aim of having about 5,000 new employees by the end
