{"id":117881,"date":"2021-11-02T18:30:00","date_gmt":"2021-11-02T18:30:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/?p=117881"},"modified":"2021-11-02T23:25:41","modified_gmt":"2021-11-02T23:25:41","slug":"azul-eyeing-bid-for-whole-of-latam","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/aviacionaldia.com\/en\/2021\/11\/azul-eyeing-bid-for-whole-of-latam.html","title":{"rendered":"Brazil&#8217;s Azul eyeing bid for whole of LATAM Airlines."},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Brazilian airline <strong>Azul<\/strong> is interested in buying the whole of Chile\u2019s bankrupt <a href=\"https:\/en?s=latam\">LATAM Airlines Group<\/a> and is ready to make an offer if creditors fail to agree on a restructuring plan, Azul Chief Executive John Rodgerson told Chilean newspaper Diario Financiero on Monday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWe know exactly what we will offer,\u201d Rodgerson said in the interview, adding that Azul would likely have to wait until Nov. 23 when a statutory limit on reaching a restructuring plan runs out.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em><strong>\u2192<\/strong> <a href=\"https:\/en\/2021\/10\/chile-approves-agreement-latam-delta.html\">Chile approves joint venture agreement between LATAM and Delta.<\/a><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWe would buy the whole asset. I believe that the group has a lot of value and we\u2019re not thinking of splitting or selling divisions,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Rodgerson said that if LATAM manages to agree a restructuring, Azul would not be able to make its offer, but that all indications were that such an agreement would not be reached.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In the past, the airline has said it had no intention of selling any
