{"id":118603,"date":"2021-11-18T18:30:00","date_gmt":"2021-11-18T18:30:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/?p=118603"},"modified":"2021-11-18T22:19:06","modified_gmt":"2021-11-18T22:19:06","slug":"westjet-new-route-calgary-london-heathrow","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/aviacionaldia.com\/en\/2021\/11\/westjet-new-route-calgary-london-heathrow.html","title":{"rendered":"WestJet launches new route between Calgary and London-Heathrow."},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Canadian airline <strong>WestJet<\/strong> announced Wednesday that it will add nonstop service from Calgary to London&#8217;s Heathrow Airport beginning in early spring 2022.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This new airline route will be operated with the 787 Dreamliner.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>With the addition of Heathrow to WestJet&#8217;s network, the airline will connect Calgary to 77 non-stop destinations year-round. It will also continue to offer direct flights between Calgary, Vancouver, Toronto and Halifax to London &#8211; Gatwick.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em><strong>\u2192 <a href=\"https:\/en\/2021\/10\/westjet-resume-flights-95-destinations.html\">WestJet will resume flights to more than 95 destinations this winter.<\/a><\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;As the airline with the most flights from Alberta, this is an important recovery milestone as we forge new connections between Canada and one of the world&#8217;s most coveted global hubs,&#8221; said John Weatherill, WestJet&#8217;s Chief Commercial Officer. &#8220;We continue to strengthen our network, offering more options for business and leisure travelers, and these investments will accelerate our industry&#8217;s recovery while ensuring Western Canada recovers from the pandemic more connected than ever.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The airline said additional details of the new route, including
