Australian airline Qantas<\/strong> will launch a seasonal nonstop service between Perth and Rome from June 22, 2022, the airline’s chief executive, Alan Joyce, confirmed to The West Australian<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The route will be operated three times a week on Boeing 787-9 aircraft that are configured to carry 236 passengers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Joyce also said the daily nonstop route between Perth and London will resume in April, having been temporarily moved to Darwin due to the closure of Western Australia’s borders.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“Prior to the pandemic, our Perth to London flights were exceptionally popular because they were the only ones offering a point-to-point connection between Australia and the UK,” Joyce said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“In a post-pandemic world, the option to fly direct is even more attractive and we are confident that travelers will embrace the unique option of flying direct between Perth and the Italian capital and beyond.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n
