CH-Aviation, a leading Swiss air data platform, recognized Viva<\/strong> as the airline with the second most modern fleet in South America, and the fourth in the world. The award confirms Viva as one of the leading airlines in the region and a relevant player in sustainability for aviation in Colombia and Latin America.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2192 Viva announces flights to Punta Cana starting in 2022.<\/a><\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The airline currently has a fleet of 21 Airbus A320 and A320neo aircraft with state-of-the-art technology that reduces CO2 emissions in its operations by consuming 15% less fuel and reducing engine noise by 50%. It is expected that by 2022 the company will integrate 8 more aircraft as part of its international expansion plan, which will allow travelers to fly to more destinations at lower prices.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The ranking prepared by CH-Aviation, a data intelligence and analytics provider with more than 20 years of experience in the aviation industry, ranks airline fleets worldwide according to their age.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

CH-Aviation maintains an extensive database of aircraft fleets consisting of more than 4,700 active airlines, more than 65,000 aircraft and 1,000 lessors worldwide.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

To determine the award winners, CH-Aviation included only active commercial operators (both passenger and cargo aircraft) with five or more aircraft and used consolidated lists of Air Operator Certificates for groups of airlines with multiple Air Operator Certificates.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
