Next Wednesday, January 19, marks the start of a new edition of Fitur, the major international tourism trade fair in Madrid, where Iberia<\/strong> will be present for yet another year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The airline’s stand will be a preview of its proposals for 2022: its commitment to sustainability, a new in-flight experience, the uniforms that its employees will be wearing at the end of spring and the latest digital solutions and services offered to customers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

More sustainable flights<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Iberia will have a large 600-square-meter space in Pavilion 10. A stand built with paper, cotton rope, recycled fabrics and natural plants; materials that, for the third consecutive year, show the airline’s commitment to attend FITUR with a sustainable proposal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2192 Iberia will increase its flights to Argentina.<\/a><\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sustainability will set the agenda for the airline industry in 2022 and in the coming years, and in its space at FITUR, Iberia wants to showcase the main milestones achieved in 2021 -such as the first flight with biofuel produced in Spain from waste, or the installation of the largest self-consumption plant among Ibex 35 companies or groups at the airline’s facilities in La Mu\u00f1oza-, as well as its future projects: the commitment of the IAG group, to which Iberia belongs, to achieve net zero CO2 emissions by 2050, the development of the Iberia Chair and other initiatives to promote sustainably sourced fuels.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Recreating the in-flight experience<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

At this year’s FITUR, Iberia also wants to recreate the new in-flight experience that, starting in June, its customers will be able to enjoy at 10,000 meters above sea level.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Those who come to the airline’s stand will have the opportunity to sample the gastronomic offerings on board while enjoying the comfort of the seats in the Business and Premium Economy cabins. This area will be integrated into a fabric structure that simulates the fuselage of an airplane.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The menus served in Business and Premium Economy, prepared by DO & CO, are based on the richness of the Mediterranean diet and on preparations with high quality raw materials and local seasonal products, and will now incorporate new appetizers, more choices of main courses and desserts, and a new rhythm in the service.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In addition, in Economy Class on short- and medium-haul flights, Iberia will reintroduce onboard beverage and snack sales in February, which customers can supplement with fresh products through Deliverfly, Iberia’s new “takeaway” service that prevents food waste.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Most novel is that, starting in June, the airline will offer its customers the ability to fully customize their travel experience through a Digital Concierge. With this service, passengers have the option to customize their in-flight menu or the entertainment they want to enjoy, among other options.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In addition, Iberia will also offer wine tastings at its stand, allowing visitors to learn more about its in-flight wine cellar, the wines offered in the VIP lounges and many more labels from different Spanish appellations of origin.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

New uniforms<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The launch of the new in-flight experience will coincide with the premiere of Iberia’s new uniforms in June. That’s why another of the activities available at the airline’s stand is a Virtual Tester, which will allow visitors to FITUR to feel part of the Iberia family and try on the new uniform designed by Teresa Helbig.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Airline employees will try on the garments created by the Catalan designer at the end of spring. The collection is made up of elegant and comfortable garments in shades of blue, red, yellow and ecru, which embody Iberia’s values: vanguard, proximity, vitality, excellence and dedication to service.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In addition, all of Iberia’s historic uniforms will be on display at FITUR, signed by such prestigious designers as Pertegaz and Elio Berhanyer, among others.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Digital solutions<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Iberia’s space at FITUR will also include a section devoted to showcasing the digital solutions and services that the airline has implemented to offer its customers an ever more agile and secure trip, with all the applications and developments related to information and documentary verification of the COVID requirements established by each country.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As every year, Iberia’s stand will be located in Hall 10, stand C-02, North entrance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
