Avianca<\/strong> customers in Antioquia and Valle del Cauca will have more opportunities to connect with the best destinations in Mexico and Spain starting March 2022. The airline announced on Tuesday the launch of new international non-stop routes Medell\u00edn-Mexico City and Cali-Mexico City, as well as the resumption of its direct flights between Medell\u00edn-Madrid and Cali-Madrid.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Medell\u00edn-Mexico City and Cali-Mexico City are part of the 23 new direct international routes announced by the company during 2021, which aim to offer greater opportunities for point-to-point connectivity with the Americas and Europe to its customers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Avianca will operate 8 flights with more than 1,200 seats per week on the Cali-Mexico City-Cali route; and 6 flights with more than 900 seats per week on the Medellin-Mexico City-Medellin route. The routes will be operated in A320 family aircraft with capacity for approximately 150 customers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The company will have 8 flights with more than 2,000 seats per week on the Cali-Madrid-Cali route and 6 flights with more than 1,500 seats per week on the Medellin-Madrid-Medellin route. The routes will be operated in Airbus A330 and Boeing 787 aircraft with capacity for approximately 250 customers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“Today Avianca has the most complete network in Colombia and one of the largest in Latin America, with more than 100 routes and more than 3,400 flights a week. We will continue to focus on providing our customers with more direct connectivity, with fewer stopovers and more time to enjoy their trips. Mexico closed 2021 with more than 30 million tourists and Spain with more than 15 million. We want to take Colombians to the destinations they love the most and also boost the arrival of visitors to our country and its regions,” said Ana Mar\u00eda Copete, Avianca’s Sales Director for Colombia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Avianca currently operates more than 120 flights a week connecting Bogota, San Salvador and San Jose with Mexico City; and Bogota, Medellin and San Jose with Cancun in Mexico. It also has about 20 weekly flights between Bogota and Madrid.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
