{"id":121431,"date":"2022-02-01T19:00:00","date_gmt":"2022-02-01T19:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/?p=121431"},"modified":"2022-02-02T00:18:47","modified_gmt":"2022-02-02T00:18:47","slug":"play-airlines-will-start-flights-to-new-york-in-june","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/aviacionaldia.com\/en\/2022\/02\/play-airlines-will-start-flights-to-new-york-in-june.html","title":{"rendered":"Play Airlines will start flights to New York in June."},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Icelandic airline <strong>PLAY <\/strong>has started ticket sales on Tuesday for its flights to New York (United States), which will start on June 9 and operate daily.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>PLAY will fly to New York Stewart International Airport and will be the only airline operating international flights from the airport.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em><strong>\u2192 <a href=\"https:\/en\/2022\/01\/austrian-airlines-relaunches-flights-vienna-los-angeles.html\">Austrian Airlines relaunches flights between Vienna and Los Angeles this summer.<\/a><\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThis is a significant development for New York Stewart International Airport and the region and customers it serves,\u201d said Rick Cotton, Executive Director of the Port of New York and New Jersey.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThe addition of PLAY\u2019s international service is important in realizing our post-pandemic vision for New York Stewart as a leading regional provider of both international and domestic air service and as a generator of strong economic growth.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em><strong>\u2192 <a href=\"https:\/en\/2022\/01\/easyjet-new-recruitment-drive-for-1000-pilots.html\">EasyJet launches new recruitment drive for 1000 pilots.<\/a><\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This is PLAY\u00b4s third destination in the United States as flights to Baltimore\/Washington will begin in April and service to Boston will commence in May. This is an important expansion to PLAY\u00b4s market area as transatlantic flights will be a major factor in its business model. These three US destinations will open up new routes to Iceland, Paris, Berlin, Copenhagen, Dublin, Brussels, Trondheim, and Gothenburg in Europe in the spring.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Photo: Colin Cooke
