{"id":122542,"date":"2022-02-25T18:30:00","date_gmt":"2022-02-25T18:30:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/?p=122542"},"modified":"2022-02-25T22:16:24","modified_gmt":"2022-02-25T22:16:24","slug":"emirates-warns-airbus-over-a350-deliveries","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/aviacionaldia.com\/en\/2022\/02\/emirates-warns-airbus-over-a350-deliveries.html","title":{"rendered":"Emirates warns Airbus over A350 deliveries amid surface damage dispute"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>Emirates<\/strong> has told <strong>Airbus <\/strong>it will not take delivery of A350 passenger jets that it has ordered if they have surface problems similar to those reported by Qatar Airways, the airline\u2019s president was quoted as saying.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWe made it absolutely clear in Toulouse now that, if we have the same problem on one of our aircraft, we won\u2019t take them over,\u201d Tim Clark told industry publication AirlineRatings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em><strong>\u2192 <a href=\"https:\/en\/2022\/02\/airbus-and-cfm-international-hydrogen-combustion-technology.html\">Airbus and CFM International to pioneer hydrogen combustion technology<\/a><\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cOur engineers looked at these A350s and said they are not in a good shape. So we say to Toulouse: by the delivery of the A350, you will have cracked this problem, otherwise you will face us with no deliveries either.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It is locked in a dispute with Qatar Airways over the contractual and safety implications of paint and lightning protection damage on A350 passenger jets. Qatar has grounded 21 of the planes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The head of British Airways owner IAG said on Friday it is not experiencing the same degree of issues as Qatar Airways and said the \u201csituation\u201d had been discussed with European regulators who deemed the planes safe.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><em>\u2192 <a reported A350 paint problems, while Qatar Airways has complained of deeper underlying issues with a layer of lightning protection attached to the paint.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThere have been findings
